About Pinellas FNPS

The Florida Native Plant Society was organized in 1980 to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida. With over 200 members, the Pinellas Chapter is one of the state's largest and has activities year-round, including:

SPEAKERS: At 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, Pinellas Chapter members gather to hear an entertaining and informative speaker on a topic related to Florida native plants. Membership meetings are held at Pinellas County Extension, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo. Please join us! In addition to the program you will enjoy fellowship and light refreshments, a silent auction of native plants, a quick roundup of compelling local environmental issues and upcoming events. If you would like to share a ride with someone, please email Jan Allyn with your contact information and location.

FIELD TRIPS: These are usually held the Saturday following the monthly membership meeting. Carpooling is encouraged.

The public is welcome at all meetings and field trips. Consult our program calendar for upcoming speakers, directions and maps.
