The Nominating Committee, comprised of Jan Allyn, Jane Chapman and Bonnie Carine, are pleased to present the following slate of nominees for the 2022 Pinellas Chapter FNPS Board of Directors.
Chapter members in good standing may nominate other candidates “from the floor” at the upcoming Membership Meeting on Wednesday, October 6th at 6:30 pm, using the Zoom chat function or by emailing info@pinellasnativeplants.org.
Following the October meeting, paid members will receive an electronic election survey/poll with the recommended slate and any from-the-floor candidates. Voting will remain open through midnight on November 2nd. We will announce the results of the voting at the November 3rd membership meeting.

Davis Byrkit
Davis Byrkit is the Office Manager & Community Content Manager at Wilcox Nursery. He is responsible for various administrative duties as well as managing the business Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channel. He has 7+ years experience with native plants and keeps an extensive native plant container garden. Davis has made several presentations to our members at our monthly membership meetings and recently launched a Cooking With Native Plants YouTube series for Wilcox.
Jessica Palenchar
Jessica Palenchar is the owner of Resupply Market, a low-waste and sustainable product store, with locations in Dunedin and Tampa. She holds a degree in Biology from New College of Florida and a Doctor of Plant Medicine degree from the University of Florida. Her interests include native plants, edible landscaping, sustainable living, being with her family, and spending time in nature.
Andrea Anderson
Andrea Andersen works as a supervisor at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve and teaches in the Environmental Studies program at Eckerd College. She promotes native plant gardening in her work at the preserve and enjoys raising chickens, spending time at the beach, and writing poetry in her free time.
Vicki Thomas
Vicki Thomas has a passion for creating wildlife habitats in her community. Her focus is on sharing her knowledge of native plants and sustainability with others and to encourage them to plant native. Vicki and her daughter adopted and maintains a native plant demonstration plot, in the Dunedin Community Garden, which the chapter began sponsoring in 2021.
